Cryptonox Hardware Wallet Review 2026

The reviews on Cryptonox Hardware Wallet have been net positive.

The reviews of the Cryptonox Hardware Wallet have been net positive on Reddit and in our own investigation, despite some social media users doubting the card’s security.

What is Cryptonox Wallet?

Cryptonox is a hardware wallet that is available as a card. This card contains an NFC hardware that, when connected to the cryptonox mobile application, becomes a hardware wallet. Without the card, the cryptonox mobile wallet cannot perform. The NFC contains key signatures used to sign a transaction on the mobile applications.

Despite its appearance, it is not a paper wallet because it contains active NFC-enabled hardware inside it.

The card is issued by Cryptonox, a Switzerland-based company.

Form Factor

The Cryptonox card wallet is a compact, card-based hardware wallet you can carry in your pocket or inside a cash wallet.

Security

The card comes with an EAL6+ certified secure element, biometric pairing, and encrypted NFC, ensuring hackers can’t get into your wallet.

There is an additional FIDO2 Security, a password management tool, which gives you two-factor authentication and passwordless login to your favourite platforms like crypto exchanges. It can also keep your banking passwords safe.

An additional security factor that we came to know while using it was that the main card (and additional card) is authenticated inside the application before being used to ensure that you are using the original card and not any knockoff or clone. This security feature prevents theft from the physical cloning of the card.

Package Contents

When you order a basic package, you get the two-card set, one for usage and one for backup. There is also a third card available, which is to be used when you have lost the PIN for the application.

Main Card

The main card contains NFC that works in the same way as a hardware wallet device. The wallet will work only when this card is taken near a mobile application. Without the card, your wallet is safe even if someone steals your phone.

Cards use NFC to communicate with the Cryptonox mobile application.

Backup Card

A backup card is provided with the main card to help you access your cryptocurrencies when you lose or misplace your card. This card is a temporary replacement of your main card, and we advise you to get another card set when you lose your main card.

PUK PIN Card (Optional)

This is an additional card used to let you into your hardware wallet when you lose the PIN.

PUK stands for Personal Unlocking Key.

Mobile Application (Downloadable)

The mobile application is where you can access your holdings, perform actions inside your wallet, send crypto, and perform other regular tasks. It is to be noted that without either of the two, the main card and the mobile wallet, the crypto holdings cannot be transferred.

The main mobile application can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

How to Use the Cryptonox Wallet?

To use the Cryptonox Hardware wallet, the user has to download the Cryptonox mobile application and buy a card set, retailing for €37. Users can buy an additional PIN PUK Card if they feel the need for it.

User Reviews on Reddit

  1. Reddit User Own-Beat-3666 posted a positive review of the card, saying that they ordered it for exploring, but liked the way the card is used, and since Cryptonox is a known security company, they trust the card.
  2. A user named wizard-of-loneliness on Reddit said that they did not trust the card due to its NFC, which is perceived as a low-threshold security feature.
